Manufacturers offer options for the range between the location of the video camera and transmitter to the receiver. Some can be as far as 300 feet.

Wireless receivers run on batteries and reviews have shown that they are depleted quickly. The transmitter and video camera can run on AC/DC power.

A digital baby video monitor is definitely a better option than the analog models. Interference and static are minimized if not eradicated especially with the current models.
